For the Sketchbook Project 2011, I picked the subject "Figuring You Out". I was a few weeks away from my thirtieth birthday and decided to take a close look at myself in thirty different ways. The outcome was a self-portrait in charcoal. One piece of my face per page for thirty pages. After that, I took a polaroid of each 'tile' to create a sort of puzzle that the viewer could piece together. I made a custom box for the pieces and submitted my piece which was part of the 2011 Sketchbook Project Tour! This video shows the finished package.
